The Gingerbread Man

The day the gingerbread man stole our Hershey's Kisses was a very exciting day indeed!

First, we retold the story of the gingerbread man (which we had been learning all week) with little gingerbread puppets.  Then, Mrs. Malon brought in some treats for the class, but when she went to get them, they were GONE!

The gingerbread man led us on a search for clues throughout the school.

He took us to Ladel's sleeping place...
...to the gym...
...to Miss Cheri's office...
...and a few other places, until he finally brought us to the kitchen where he was hiding on his pan (with all the kisses!).
We were relieved that he didn't eat them all!
Here we are with our gingerbread puppets and ornaments.
Here are the clues that the Gingerbread Man left us. He's so sneaky!

What have the 3 year olds been up to?

What have our 3 year olds been up to lately?

Sorting & Practicing color words
 Taking turns (with Mrs. Petersen)
Retelling stories we have read in class

Painting with texture brushes & Mixing colors to make new colors

We learned the story of the gingerbread man and created these little beauties...
And we searched the classroom for these little gingerbread cards, then we put them in order in the pocket chart.

We're excited for this Advent season and all the fun and learning it will bring!
